Jasper
Herd Sire
Our founding ram and the namesake of the farm. Jasper carries exceptional genetics tracing directly to some of the oldest registered Florida Cracker lines in the state.
Jaspers Landing Farm
Every animal at Jaspers Landing Farm is a registered Florida Cracker sheep — a living link to five centuries of Florida history.
About Our Animals
Every sheep at Jaspers Landing Farm is registered with The Livestock Conservancy and carefully selected to maintain the genetic diversity and authentic traits of the Florida Cracker breed. We raise our animals on native Florida pasture, managed to reflect the landscape these sheep evolved in over five centuries.
Herd Sire
Our founding ram and the namesake of the farm. Jasper carries exceptional genetics tracing directly to some of the oldest registered Florida Cracker lines in the state.
Senior Ewe
One of our most reliable ewes, Magnolia has raised strong, healthy lambs every season. Her calm temperament and excellent maternal instincts make her a cornerstone of the flock.
Junior Sire
A young ram with outstanding conformation and a lineage that reflects the best traits of the breed — heat tolerance, parasite resistance, and a self-sufficient foraging instinct.
Spring Lamb
Born this past spring, Palmetto is already showing the hallmarks of a fine Florida Cracker — compact build, bright eyes, and an independent spirit that suits the Florida flatwoods.
Ewe Pair
Twin ewes born two seasons ago, Cypress and Willow are inseparable. Both are registered and will join the breeding flock this fall, carrying forward the farm's genetic diversity goals.
Yearling Ewe
Named for the native Florida landscape the breed evolved in, Flatwoods is a yearling ewe with exceptional fleece quality and the quiet, self-sufficient nature the breed is known for.
Why Registration Matters
With the Florida Cracker sheep listed as Critical by The Livestock Conservancy, maintaining accurate breed records is essential. Every registered animal in our flock contributes to the official population count and the long-term genetic health of the breed.
